Vehicles and equipment that keep looking sharp.

Calcium, salt, gravel, pressure washing, freeze-thaw: trucks, trailers and equipment take a beating here. MMA supplies shops, fleets and contractors with systems that protect, hold their colour and free up the booth sooner.

Who it is for

What we offer

A system that holds up in our climate

  1. Prep Degreasing, then sanding or mechanical prep depending on the metal. On aluminum and galvanized, a dedicated adhesion primer is essential.
  2. Primer Anti-corrosion on steel, direct-to-metal to save a step, thicker under the frame and in gravel-exposed areas.
  3. Topcoat High-solids, UV- and wash-resistant, in the exact fleet colour.

Frequently asked questions

What system for trucks exposed to calcium and salt?

An anti-corrosion primer (epoxy or direct-to-metal) on well-prepared metal, then a high-solids topcoat that resists UV and pressure washing. The frame and underbody get a thicker protection.

Can you match my fleet colours or the original equipment colours?

Yes. Commercial vehicle systems cover a wide range of fleet and equipment-maker colours. Give us the code or a sample.

How do I cut downtime in the booth?

Fast-drying systems, direct-to-metal primers (one step less) and single-stage topcoats. Fewer coats means less handling and more vehicles per shift.

Waterborne or solvent for farm and heavy equipment?

Both exist. Waterborne systems cut VOCs, flammability and solvent exposure; the right choice depends on your drying equipment and the shop’s temperature and humidity.

Which VOC rules apply to my shop?

Refinishing vehicles, including trucks, and mobile equipment, including trailers, falls under SOR/2009-197: for example 250 g/L for a clear or primer surfacer and 420 g/L for a colour or single-stage coating.

Can aluminum or galvanized flatbeds and trailers be painted?

Yes, with the right prep and an adhesion primer designed for these metals. Without it, the paint can peel.

Are polyurethane topcoats hazardous?

They contain isocyanates, which can cause occupational asthma. Spraying calls for a supplied-air respirator and a ventilated booth. We provide the safety data sheets and isocyanate-free options depending on the use.
